Disappointed to see 18,000 villages without electricity: PM Modi

Mhow (MP), Apr 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reiterated that his government's commitment to electrify all the villages in the country is being carried out in a transparent manner. Modi, who was addressing a gathering on 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, said it is a disappointing that around 18,000 villages in the country remain without electricity even after decades of independence. The Prime Minister said that the NDA's Budget for the fiscal 2016-17 is dedicated towards the welfare of the villages and farmers.
