Kitchen Remodeling - Day 3 of 17 - Soffit Box Construction, Electric Work, Demolition and Tile Prep

2016-04-14 3

This video documents the process of building a soffit box on our kitchen ceiling that will house two recessed lights and the framing to hang an island range hood. In addition to the soffit box construction, I work on several electric projects: installing dimmer switches, running electric lines, and HDMI and ethernet wiring for a LED tv that I will be hooking up. After the soffit box framing is finished and other tasks early in the day, we move on to final demolition of existing floor tile, and cleanup of the floor for new tiling preparation. My brother and I end the day with pouring of Levelquik to create a smooth, even surface to tile on the following day.\r
