Kolhapur, Apr 14 (ANI): Activist Trupti Desai was allegedly thrashed in the Mahalaxmi temple, Kohlapur, as she successfully managed to cross the first threshold of sanctum sanctorum. Desai alleged that the women devotees as well as the priests who were present inside the temple used abusive language. She alleged that her attackers said, "Dont let Trupti Desai get out alive." Desai added that when a certain order has been passed by the Supreme Court on the entry of women to any holy shrine such incidents only ruffle up the law and order. She even appealed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra to look into the situation.
