--Overall Comments--\r
This is probably the funniest episode of the season so far, but with a great heart. Its great seeing some interaction between Applejack and Pinkie, who dont always directly interact without the rest of the Mane 6. Its also great to see more of the Apple Family and how they act together and with Pinkie, and is especially interesting to see their faults. Most interesting is how Pinkie, in the end, is the one who teaches them a lesson about family. Of course the BGM is filled with the country-type themes that are always following Applejack around. But the biggest part of the episode has to be the song, Apple to the Core. This was highly anticipated after its premier at Comic-Con earlier this year, and boy did it deliver! The animation was fantastic, especially after how amazing the storyboards were. But it was best to finally hear the song in high-quality non-camrip version!\r

--Track Specific Comments--\r
Here it is! Probably the most anticipated song this season, being that it was one of the storyboards shown at Comic-Con earlier this year. And boy, did it deliver! Besides more Applejack singing, we also get the most Pinkie has sang so far this season. Not to mention actual singing from Granny Smith (unlike in the Flim Flam song), and Big Macs singing debut. Although he doest get a solo, you can hear Peter New clearly singing with the second and later chorus.\r
\r
This song also features some great vocal harmonies during the chorus. Listen to the version with backing vocals (linked further below) to hear Pinkies awesome soprano part in the final chorus.\r
\r
Plus, the backing track might be my favorite of the season so far. With plenty of banjo, fiddle, and bass, its what makes this song so ridiculously catchy. Listen to the instrumental version (linked further below) to hear that more clearly!\r
