India reels under heat wave

Varanasi/Ranchi, Apr 13 (ANI): People in India continued to face the hot weather conditions as mercury level rose in most places. The ongoing heat wave is expected to intensify in the coming days with day temperatures likely to remain above normal in the country. Uttar Pradesh is experiencing scorching heat with temperatures hovering around 40-41 degrees Celsius. Locals said that the heat is much more during this period as compared to previous year and they are taking more of liquid food to keep their body dehydrated.The famous 'Sita Waterfall' in Ranchi has dried up due to intense heat. Surrender Mahte, the guard said that this year fewer tourists are flocking in summers. Winter this year was lighter than before.
