Just another day in the life of Hugh Jackman. The Wolverine star bravely saved a man and his own two children from a riptide at Sydney’s Bondi Beach in Australia on Saturday, March 26, and the clip of the rescue has gone viral.

In it, Jackman, 47, can be seen moving toward one man as he holds onto a girl (later revealed to be Jackman's daughter Ava), pulling them away from the dangerous waves.

The actor later motions for his teenage son Oscar, 15, to move closer to shore and out of harm’s way. A lifeguard can be seen blowing her whistle to signal the disturbance.

According to 9 News Australia, lifeguards later had to make "several rescues," both by board and by jet ski, and the beach was shut down due to the dangerous conditions. Jackman was reportedly "so shaken up" that he was unable to speak to a reporter following the harrowing incident.

The man who Jackman was seen assisting, Peter Adam, later told 9 News that he was actually helping Jackman's daughter.

"I was assisting him to get his daughter up to the sandbar. He then grabbed my hand to get us up," Mr Adam said. "He then went to get his son."
