6.8 magnitude quake jolts northern India

New Delhi, Apr 10 (ANI): An earthquake measuring 6.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit northern India on Sunday evening. Metro services were halted and the people rushed out of their offices and houses as a precautionary measure. The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be 248 kilometres north of Peshawar in Pakistan. The tremors were also felt in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
