Agra, Apr 10 (ANI): Taj Mahal, the famous monument of love, is being redecorated as the city gears up to host British royals Prince William and his wife Kate. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to arrive in Mumbai city on Sunday on a six-day trip to India and neighbouring Bhutan. Among other destinations, the royal couple will visit the Taj Mahal in northern Agra city during the last leg of their India tour. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is coordinating with representatives from the Prince and Princess’ entourage to plan all arrangements. Prince William's late mother Princess Diana had undertaken a solitary trip to the Taj Mahal in 1992. A video of Diana sitting on a bench during the trip made front page news worldwide and was widely interpreted as symbolizing the irreparable state of her marriage to Prince Charles. Charles has avoided the Taj Mahal on subsequent visits to India, but William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Kate are reported to have said they “cannot wait to see it” during their trip.
