Chhatarpur (MP), Apr 08 (ANI): Locals in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district trek long distances to fetch water from hilly regions due to water crisis in the region. Women and children walk long miles through rocky terrain to bring home water. For fetching water, people leave their home at night, and return in the morning through rocky jungle terrain with utensil filled with water. No water supply is provided to these villagers. Schools are also closed early to enable children to help families in fetching water from long distance.
