Jalandhar/Chandigarh, Apr 07 (ANI): Former Indian Hockey captain and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA from Jalandhar Cantonment, Pargat Singh was allegedly assaulted by a drunk youth on Tuesday evening during an argument over 'parking' in Sector 9 in Chandigarh. Singh has sustained fractures in his fingers. "A drunk person parked his car on the road and I just requested him to give us a way. But when I again requested him to give the way, he abused me verbally by calling names and also attacked me. I also sustained fracture in my fingers," said Singh. The accused, who has been identified as Kamaldeep, was arrested by the police after complaint by Singh.
