New Delhi, Apr 06 (ANI): Lending his support to the ongoing jewellers' protest at the Jantar Mantar here on Wednesday, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi called the Centre's excise duty proposal an attempt to 'assassin' the jewellers' community. Gandhi had earlier met the jewellers on March 11 who are demanding withdrawal of one percent excise duty imposed in the Union Budget 2016-17. The Centre has constituted a panel to look into the jewellers' demands.
