Skolas Walkthrough (Prison of Elders lvl 35 Guide)

advent-seph, infinitevision88, and zulqarnainbeast7 play through the level 35 version of Prison of Elders in order to create a guide for first-timers.

Skolas is very intimidating if you're new to him, but he's not that bad once you know how the battle plays out. This guide/playthrough is meant to help anyone who doesn't know what to do.

Prison of Elders is always 5 randomized rounds of 3 waves each. Regardless of whether you play the level 28 (which has matchmaking) or the 32 or 34 variants. The challenges, enemies, and final boss switch up every week. Except for the level 35 variant, where the first five rounds follow the rules, but an extra sixth round is always Skolas (though with different modifiers in effect per week)

You'll need a treasure key to get the Hildian Seeker ship after killing him (you can get a treasure key by doing Petra Venj's quests).

He's initially super buffed and takes little to no damage, there are two invisible pacifist servitors on each end of the map, destroying them allows you to damage him, afterwards once both servitors are dead he can be damaged regularly from that point on, but he'll now poison the fireteam, the enemies will be unlimited until he's killed, and objectives like dismantling mines will keep happening.

Just pass the poison between three players and you'll be fine. It can't be effectively passed between two people unless they're sunsingers because the prior poisoned guy will become immune for 40 seconds once he passes it on and can't reclaim it, you could cheese it with a sunsinger who keeps using radiance but just go with three players if you can.
