India's first semi-high speed train 'Gatimaan Express' flagged off

New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): India's first semi-high speed train christened as Gatimaan Express was flagged off today by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. The fastest Indian train ever, which is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h has been flagged off from New Delhi. It will run between Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and Agra Cantonment Station. The proper commercial run of the train will commence from April 6. Launching of 'Gatimaan Express' is an important step for our Railways, said Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. Indian Railways has decided to present the exceptional on-board services as Gatimaan's USP.
