New Delhi, Apr 03 (ANI): Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that the Indian government is very concerned about the situation in the NIT complex in Srinagar. He said he has spoken to Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and even External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been asked to keep a tab on this. He added that NIT campus is being opened by tomorrow and students should not feel that they are alone. He expressed concern, saying that communal problems should not be there in institutions. According to reports, NIT authorities had on Friday ordered the campus to shut down after two groups of students, one from Kashmir and the other from another state, fought over the bursting crackers late Thursday night after Indian cricket team lost their semi-final bout against West Indies in the ongoing World T20. To control the situation, officials closed the institute’s entrance and did not allow anyone to enter.
