Silchar (Assam), Mar 02 (ANI): Voters in West Mohanpur village in Assam’s poll-bound Silchar District have pinned hopes on the next government to solve their acute water crisis. The villagers claim they have made repeated pleas to the administration, which have fallen on deaf ears. Women and children queuing up around public taps is a common site in the village every day. The acute water crisis has often led to bitter fights among residents. Assam has a total of 19.8 million voters. The Election Commission has announced two-phase voting for the 14th Assam assembly elections on April 4 and 11.
