Football and cricket are the popular sports in war-ravaged Afghanistan. Afghan sportspersons, battling against all odds, have inspired millions of youth across the world with their determination to reach the summit of success. Five-year-old Murtaza Ahmadi from a poor family in the Jaghori district in the central province of Ghazni became an unlikely Internet sensation recently after a video of him improvising his hero Lionel Messi's jersey using a striped plastic bag went viral.
