Majuli (Assam), Mar 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday lauded BJP's chief ministerial candidate Sarbananda Sonowal and said that his exit from the Centre would be a big loss for the government but will be beneficial for the people of Assam. Modi, who was addressing a rally in Assam's Majuli island, said that Sonowal is the right man who can take Assam to new heights of development. The Prime Minister added that he has come to Assam to fight poverty and unemployment and not the existing Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. Modi further attacked Congress and said that the grand old party has not only eaten the money of poor people but have also damaged such beautiful island like Majuli.
