Welcome back to ClevverMusic my darling Little Monsters. As you know Mother Monster performed for over an hour at Londons Roundhouse on September 1 as part of the 2013 iTunes Festival, which she renamed Swinefest, and now we know why. And what a fest it was with on stage costume changes, emotional moments and bizarre dance moves! Gaga kicked off her dynamic set with new song "Aura", dressed as a ninja with a burqa mask over her face and knife that read "Hollywood". Gaga flew over the stage in a black cage as she sang the controversial lines to the cultural dance song. After taking her shirt off and putting on some glittery black boots Gaga sang new song "Manicure", a clap happy upbeat 80s pop song chanting "Man Cure". Soon after, the first major costume change saw Gaga in a huge blonde mermaid wig and new silver sparkly clam bra with matching thong for the title track "ARTPOP". Before the brand new song she explained to the cheering crowd, "They say What does ARTPOP even mean?... when we come together, me and my beautiful fans, we belong, dont we?... When were in this space together we make the most beautiful thing in the world, we make love." The techno thumping tune heard an 80s Blondie vibe and chants the songs theme, "We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP". For the next song debut: "Jewels and Drugs" Gaga put on a red flannel shirt and got her hip hop on! She explained the reason for experimenting with hip hop, "What was the intention of the album?...to make music that would set me free... of this box they put you in in pop music!" In the most dynamic performance of the night we saw Gaga perform a hip hop techno track featuring TI, Too Short Twista and DJ White Shadow. And yup, Too Short and Twista were on hand to perform their verses in the rap track live for the crowd.Leave it to Gaga to combine hip hop and EDM into one explosive track. After a long intermission Gaga graced the London stage for racy new song "Sex Dreams" wearing a sexy black leather bra and matching thong. "Sex Dreams" saw an upbeat poppy track all about doing the nasty in sex dreams just as the song title alludes, with Gaga fist pumping and grinding on the floor. Amazing. Finally, before the anticipated song "Swine", Gaga stripped down, taking off her giant wig to reveal her natural brown hair underneath as she had to do to write ARTPOP. "Swine" as we previously heard, was a glorious rock ballad with an epic EDM ending. Gaga jammed out on the keyboard and drums in a silver pig mask while men dressed as white pigs flew in the air high above her and when the techno beat dropped things got nuts with Gaga squealing just like a pig. The next track was the emotional tear jerker of the night a song Gaga wrote for her fans when her Born This Way Ball got cancelled called "I Wanna Be With You". Gaga sat at the piano and poured out the touching lyrics, and the cutest part midway through the song was when she said "Thanks for taking me back". Gaga finished her iTunes set with Applause wearing a green blazer and top hat from the Applause music video. You guys: Gaga is back with a vengeance. And I know a lot of you are dying to know what I thought of the concert: and Ill just say it was an unexpected joy ride.
