The Afghanistan national football team faced defeat from Japan during a qualifier match for the FIFA World Cup scheduled to be played in Russia in 2018.

The Japanese footballers ended the game in their favor by hitting 5 goals during a match hosted by Japan as part of the second stage of the World Cup qualifier.

Japan secured their first goal during the 44th minute of the game with Shinji Okazaki hitting the goal and ending the first half of the game in Japan’s favour.

The second goal was hit during the 58th minute of the game by Hiroshi Kiyotake as Japan started the second half aggressively and continued to maintain pressure on the Afghan goal.

Afghanistan received the third goal during the 63rd minute of the game as the ball was diverted towards the goal after hitting to Sarif Muchammad’s leg.

The fourth goal was hit by Maya Yoshida during the 75th minute of the game while the 5th goal was hit by Mu Kanazaki during the 78th minute as the Japanese footballers maintained control of the ground.

This comes as the Afghan national football team faced a defeat of 6-0 during a qualifier match for the 2018 FIFA World Cup last year.
