New Delhi/Bengaluru, Mar 24 (ANI): Former National Commission for Women (NCW) member Shamina Shafiq on Thursday dubbed the Uber case, wherein the driver allegedly misbehaved with a female passenger, as 'bizarre and shocking'. She held the app-based service provider responsible for the incident, adding that the government needs to take stringent measures to ensure safety of women in cabs. Activist Pramila Nesargi, echoing similar concerns, said that such activities have been going on for a long time. She also hinted at negligence on part of the company and retorted in disgust that in all seriousness, schools and parents must take a look at the upbringing of their children. She added that women must carry phones which can come handy in emergency situations.
