A Sons Revenge For Fathers Murders Western: Six-Gun Rhythm

2008-01-08 322

Six-Gun Rhythm features masterful crooner Tex Fletcher as a singing Wild West hero, but there’s a twist: Fletcher isn’t a cowboy! Most unusual for these films, Fletcher is a football star on the East Coast who’s heading out West to investigate his father’s murder. The film is a startlingly fresh blend of action and song, making it one of the best Westerns of the nineteen thirties. Six-Gun Rhythm builds to a (literally) blistering climax, when Fletcher takes on his father’s murderer in a sandstorm! Though Fletcher would not go on to a long movie career, at least he left us this nugget of cinematic Wild West gold.
