Global aviation majors participate in India Aviation 2016

Hyderabad, Mar 22 (ANI): Some 200 aviation companies from over 25 countries participated at the 5th India Aviation Summit held in Hyderabad. The 5-day long event held at Begumpet Airport was organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation along with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The theme of this year's show was 'Indian Civil Aviation Sector: Potential as Global Manufacturing and MRO Hub'. The event inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee focused on the opportunities in aviation sector as well as improving and augmenting airports infrastructure. An exhibition stall of Airports Authority of India displayed replica of airport like Terminal Building Air side, control tower, R&D capability and tools.Well-known aircraft and helicopters manufacturers, machinery and equipment makers, skill development and training institutions participated in the expo and showcased their expertise in the aviation industry. The expo also showcased Indian civil aviation achievements and its future plans.
