Siliguri, Mar 18 (ANI): Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan yesterday flagged off a train carrying high speed diesel to Bangladesh from the eastern town of Siliguri as a goodwill gesture. The rail rake consignment is a symbolic gesture of friendship and cooperation that exists between India and Bangladesh. The decision to export diesel to Bangladesh via rail was taken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dhaka last year. The 42 wagons carrying high speed diesel left from Siliguri Marketing Terminal of Numaligarh Refineries Limited (NRL) and will reach to Parbatipur storage depot of Bangladesh on Saturday (March 19). India also signed an agreement extending development financing to Bangladesh on March 09.
