The US secretary of state John Kerry accuses Islamic State (Isis) on Thursday of committing crimes against humanity and says the extremist group has carried out genocide against minorities in Syria and Iraq. According to American researchers, Isis has taken people as sex slaves and dispatched children and teenagers into battle at an unprecedented rate.
