Beef row Kashmiri students released after investigation

Jaipur, Mar 17 (ANI): In the wake of another beef controversy, four Kashmiri students of Mewar University in Rajasthan, who were arrested on suspicion of consuming beef in the university hostel, were released after the investigation. Divulging details, Rajasthan Health Minister Rajendra Rathore on Thursday said the four students were arrested just to avoid further controversy in the matter. According to reports, the four students - Shakib Ashraf, Hilal Farukh, Mohammad Maqbool and Shaukat Ali were allegedly beaten by an unidentified mob on Monday when rumours circled that they were cooking beef in the hostel, where eating or cooking non-vegetarian food is prohibited.
