'MURICA — The mainstream media is blaming Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump for a string of violence at his rallies.
Violence, fights and fists are becoming a regular occurrence at Trump's campaign events.
Trump called off a rally in Chicago last Friday after fights broke out between protesters and supporters.
Trump for his part has only added fuel to the fire by egging on his supporters, which in turn has caused protesters to become increasingly aggressive themselves.
At a Feb. 23 rally in Las Vegas, Trump said of a protester: "I'd like to punch him in the face," CNN reports.
During an interruption in front of an audience in Warren, Michigan on March 4, Trump said of a protester: "Get him out. Try not to hurt him. If you do I'll defend you in court," AP reports.
Trump then remarked on a New Hampshire rally where a protester started "swinging and punching," the report continues. Trump said some people in the audience "took him out."
"It was really amazing to watch," he said.
And at a Feb. 1 rally in Cedar Rapids Iowa, according to Mediaite, Trump said: "[I]f you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of 'em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise."
Trump backers have blamed Bernie Sanders supporters and members of groups like Black Lives Matter and MoveOn.org for the violence at Trump rallies.
When asked if he was inciting violence at his rallies during a March 10 debate on CNN, Trump said people come to his rallies "with tremendous passion and love for country."
"And when they see protests — in some cases — you're mentioning one case, which I haven't seen. I heard about it, which I don't like. But when they see what's going on in this country, they have anger that's unbelievable. They have anger. They love this country," he continued.
