Tourists in Shimla make a beeline to see 112-year-old steam engine

Shimla, Mar 16 (ANI): A 112-year-old steam engine is becoming the centre of attraction for foreign tourists in Shimla. The heritage railway track in Shimla is being booked frequently by group of foreign tourists. The Northern Railway is offering the steam engine trip on booking to the tourists on 12 to 20 miles on the Kalka-Shimla heritage line. Travelling on this heritage track gives a panoramic view of heritage narrow gauze line of 2feet 6 inches, Shimla town and valleys. The Kalka-Shimla railway line was declared as UNESCO’s world heritage line in 2008. It has been a great tourist attraction since then and once the heritage steam engine would start it is going to bring high end and foreign tourists in Kalka.
