Bareilly, Mar 15 (ANI): The Urs of Hamid Raza Khan, also known as Hujjat-ul-Islam, is the biggest Urs observed in Bareilly. It was attended by thousands of devotees who came from different parts of the world to pay respects to the Sufi Saint and seek his blessings. Hamid Raza Khan was a revered Sufi Saint who devoted himself to God and preached the teachings of unity, peace and harmony among the people. Khan had written and translated numerous books on a wide range of subjects.He had also translated many books of his father. One of the books he translated from Arabic to Urdu was Ad Daulatul Makkiya Bil Mad'datil Ghaibiya. Devotees from different regions touched the sacred marble, offered silent prayers at the shrine and sought blessings from the Sufi Saint. Religious harmony in India indicates love and affection between different religions across the country. Such effort also helps to spread peace and brotherhood among the people.
