Mr. Brian G. Heath, Consul General of USA in Karachi , accompanied by Mr. Patrick S. Mills – Regional Security Officer, Mr. Chad L. Wilton – INL Program Manager, Mr. Daniel L. Art – Assistant Regional Security Officer, Mr. Raja Sharjeel Soomro – INL Program Assistant and Mr. Ghulam Jilani – Security Advisor visited Special Security Unit – SSU Head Quarters on March 10, 2016.
Mr. Maqsood Ahmed, AIGP Security Sindh briefed the delegation about the modus operandi of the unit and its various sections. The AIGP apprised on the creation of Pakistan’s first Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T) Team in SSU, the trainings imparted to the commandos, issuance of ISO certificate to the unit and its services provided in the fields of provision of security to the important personalities and vital installations.
The Consul General and the AIGP Security exchanged views on issues of mutual interest with a focus on elimination of terrorism. The Consul General appreciated the services of AIGP Security and expressed that professionalism in policing is essential for safety of lives and property of citizen.
