Rajiv Gandhi's assassin granted one-day parole

Chennai, Mar 08 (ANI): The Madras High Court on Tuesday granted a one-day parole to Nalini Sriharan, convict in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Nalini had applied for a three-day parole to attend the 16th day obsequies of her father Sankaranarayanan, who died last month. Divulging details about the court's order, Nalini's lawyer Rama Krishnan on Tuesday said the parole has been granted for 24 hours only, adding that she cannot leave the ceremonial place and cannot meet the mediapersons.
