Shrine of Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah in Jammu and Kashmir

Rajouri, Mar 07 (ANI): People from different communities visit Shahdra Shareif shrine of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah. Faith and harmony can be felt in every nook and corner of the shrine as devotees pay their respects to the Sufi Saint.Walking through the sloping stairs has never been an obstacle for the believers to mark their presence at the revered Shrine. Shahdra Sharief is a revered Muslim shrine of Rajouri district which belongs to Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah. Built in 19th century, Shahdra Sharief is close to a beautiful hill standing atop Thana Mandi. The shrine looks astonishing amidst beautiful mountains and a clean stream flowing near it. Shahdra Sharief is constructed in Kashmiri style with its exterior built in Multani architecture. Devotees of all age groups pay a visit to the Dargah and spread the message of harmony and peace among people. Sada Bahar, a famous tree near the shrine, bears fruits all round the year. These fruits can be stored for longer periods without refrigeration. A ‘langar’ is held at Ziarat(Shrine) which serves thousands of devotees every day. Raising hands with moist eyes devotees ask for forgiveness and seek blessings from the Saint. Such places promote peace, harmony and unity among people of different faiths.
