Wagah Border, Mar 06 (ANI): Around 120 Hindu pilgrims crossed over to Pakistan through Wagah from neighbouring India for a pilgrimage and to participate in the 'Maha Shivratri' festivities. Officials of the Pakistan Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee and Saddiqul Farooq, the chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) which looks after the temples and gurdwaras across Pakistan, greeted the pilgrims at Wagah Border. Farooq said that the ETPB had ensured security, transport, boarding and medical facilities to the visiting Hindus on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's special order. Farooq said a special tour of old city of Lahore had been arranged for the visiting Hindus on their request. The pilgrims will stay at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Lahore Fort, before they leave for the historic Katas Raj temple in Punjab province's Chakwal district, some 250 kilometres from Lahore, on Monday to take part in the festivities. The pilgrims are scheduled to visit a cluster of temples during the era of Mahabharata, an ancient and revered Hindu epic, at Katasraj in Chakwal district of Pakistan to celebrate the festival of 'Maha Shivratri' on March 7.
