Back in my early SNES days, Mega Man X3 was one of those games that I flat out sucked at. This was mostly due to my lack of reflexes and knowing enough about the controls required of me. If anything, the one Maverick that I managed to defeat with the least amount of problems was Neon Tiger. He was formerly a poacher hunter in charge of preventing harm or theft towards the natural wildfire of the jungle, that is until a virus caused him to turn Maverick.\r

Neon Tigers stage isnt really that interesting considering how half of the enemies dont try to harm you, unless you attempt to harm them. Most of the threatening enemies like the bulky Hamma Hammas or the Meta Capsules require a good button mashing or a small amount of patience to break past the barrier. The only noteworthy thing about the stage is the music.though not very original music, considering it sounds like some Guns n Rose song that I have no familiarity of. If anything, its more of a sign of things to come later in the series.for better or worse. \r

There is a mini-boss in the stage named Worm Seeker-R but with the lack of invincibility frames, its a complete non-issue. Since this is the first stage, I should mention now about the second mid-boss corridor and what thats about. After I defeat two Mavericks, therell be two roaming Hunters that show up at random.and are unavoidable unlike the X Hunters before them. I have no intention of doing them during Maverick attempts, so they will be separate.\r

After a lengthy but nonthreatening stage, we reach Neon Tiger.who doesnt put up as much of a fight, though that depends on how his AI runs. Tigger will randomly use one of a few attack to start off, the first being a stationary Ray Splasher attack that always fires in a set pattern of up, down, and straight ahead. Once you figure where they go, youll have no problem dodging it. Next is him floating towards a wall and either firing the Ray Splasher in a diagonal fashion or diving at your location directly from the wall. All Mavericks in this game have a desperation mode, with Tiger charging up solar energy into his claws before lunging across screen and jumping to ceiling height. He is completely invulnerable during this charge move, so dont waste your shots on him. Oddly enough, Tigger didnt use the 2nd and 3rd moves for the first half.which made this incredibly easy.\r
\r
The Ray Splasher is kinda okay, the uncharged version letting you shoot a volley of 7 shots varying upward and downward at random. Charged up lets X release a container filled with 22 Splasher shots randomly before it shatters.\r

Next time, we head on to Rock Zone and you know what that means.ranting about another construction level and its music.
