Sukma encounter Injured CRPF personnel brought to hospital in Raipur

Raipur, Mar 04 (ANI): The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, who were injured during a gun battle with the Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Sukma District yesterday, were brought to a hospital here on Friday. CRPF's CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) battalion personnel were trapped in violence-affected forests of Sukma for over 18 hours, after they were ambushed in the jungles of Dabbanarka. The encounter resulted in deaths of two CRPF jawans and left 14 injured. Director General (DG) Naxal Operations, DM Awasthi on Friday said that their forces reached at the site and took action. Adding that the soldiers fought bravely he said that this operation has killed many naxalites. Surgeon, Dr. Dandeep Dave said that 12 jawans were admitted and are safe now. He also said that he along with his team will try their best to protect all the lives of the injured jawans. The doctor further stated that the primary results show that there is no fatal organ injury to anyone. He also went on saying that the condition of 3-4 jawans is critical and that he hopes to save all of them.
