I take a look at the new Snapshot updates available this week for Minecraft 1.8, 14w27a & 14w27b, and run down the list of new features & fixes added, including the brand new Bunny Rabbit animal mob! Were trying out some commands to make an even deadlier Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, as well as Baby Zombies that ride Rabbits as Bunny Jockeys. Some more info on the Rabbit mob: They have 8 unique skins and you can tame them as pets similar to Cats/Ocelots & breed them with Carrots, Golden Carrots, or Dandelions. Bunnies will drop Rabbit Hide to craft Leather, Raw Rabbit Meat to make Cooked Rabbit Meat & the amazing Rabbit Stew, as well as a lucky Rabbits Foot for brewing the Potion of Leaping, granting the user Jump Boost! Rabbits will also seek out & destroy Carrot crops though, so beware! Naming a Bunny Toast with a Nametag will give it a unique black & white skin coat. Rabbits also have a 1 in 1000 chance of spawning as the deadly Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, a hostile mob that attacks the player within 4 blocks or less & references the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, quickly dealing as much damage as the Wither Boss!
