Dramatic video has emerged from China of a motorcyclist being saved by the helmet he is wearing when he is run over by a lorry.
The CCTV footage, captured in Quanzhou, Fujian Province last Friday, shows motorcyclist Mr Yang trying to brake to avoid hitting the lorry, but his motorcycle falls and he slides along the ground before being run over.
Still photographs from after the accident show the helmet smashed into pieces.
According to local reports, Mr Yang received injuries to other parts of his body but his head was protected because he was wearing the helmet.
