Over the weekend, two more homicides were committed in Chicago, pushing the 2016 count to 95 and violent deaths at large past the 100 mark.

Both are roughly double the number that occurred over the same period last year.

The recent victims, Shari Graham and Eric D. Henry Jr., were shot while sitting in vehicles. 

Graham’s assailant fired from an undetermined location at nighttime, while the person who killed Henry did so at close range and in broad daylight.
