On Coruscant, the corrupt and inept Galactic Senate takes no action to end the suffering brought upon the Nubian people by the Trade Federation, in spite of the pleading of Queen Padmé Amidala. The former slave Anakin Skywalker fares no better before the Jedi Order; Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinns claim that Anakin is the legendary Chosen One of Jedi prophecy is rejected by the Jedi High Council, which also denies Qui-Gons request to train Anakin in the ways of the Jedi. The Council sends Qui-Gon and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi back to Naboo, along with Amidala, who has decided to take matters into her own hands, to investigate the unthinkable--the return of the Sith--and discover the identity of the dark warrior that attacked Qui-Gon on Tatooine. Back on Naboo, Amidala unites her people and the native Gungans, and puts a plan into action to capture Trade Viceroy Nute Gunray, and end the occupation.\r

As battles rage in the Grassy Plains, between the droid army of the Federation and the Gungan Grand Army, and in space, between Bravo Squadron of the Royal Space Fighter Corps and the Federations droid starfighters, Amidala and the Jedi infiltrate Theed Palace to capture Gunray.\r

After clearing the hangar of droids, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan find what they are looking for--the Sith Lord Darth Maul.\r
