• 4.5 pounds pork belly
Char Siu Marinade
• 3 tablespoon maltose
• 3 tablespoon honey
• 3 tablespoon hoisin sauce
• 2 tablespoon light soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon thick soy sauce
• 1/2 Tablespoon oyster sauce
• 10 white peppercorns, ground
• 1 teaspoon five spice powder
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil
• 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
• 2 teaspoon ginger, finely diced/grated
• For colouring – 1 teaspoon red powder + 1/2 teaspoon orange powder (optional)
