PIECE STRUCTURE\r
Among the most famous soundtracks composed by the genius of John Williams, this is the first in time and, for me, the most fun to play, especially for its particular and dramatic featuring of piano: an unforgettable theme consisting in just an alternation of 2 or 3 bass notes in ottava (0:13).\r
Looking closer, however, the theme develops richly on that simple base (with orchestra in the original arrangement), first adding standard chords in unusual menacing way (0:20), then depicting intriguing open-sea waves (0:40ca) and later contrasting with the happy beach people unaware of the danger (1:00).\r

ADAPTION AND SHEET\r
The sheet (since many ask about, I add that its easy to find online for few dollars) is rather simplified respect the CD version, which is of course a synthesis of the movie soundtrack. This interpretation is a compromise between these various versions, with the addition of a couple of personal elements in the philosophy of the piece.\r
