23 Naxals surrender in Chhattisgarh

Bastar (Chhattisgarh), Feb 28 (ANI): Twenty-three Naxals, including two women, on Sunday surrendered in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh citing "ill-treatment" by senior cadres. The Maoists, who surrendered before senior police officials, said they were "frustrated" by the ill-treatment meted out to them. Bastar Collector Amit Kataria said that an encouragement amount of Rs 10,000 would be given to each of them, besides facilities under the surrender and rehabilitation policy.
