NASA is reporting that the mysterious patch of warm water in the Pacific nicknamed “The Blob” seems to have been broken up--at least, for the time being--by strong El Niño forces.
It appears that El Niño has caused a climate-related phenomenon to disappear.
NASA recently described this activity in a piece titled, “The Demise of the Warm Blob.”
The “blob,” a warm patch of stationary water in the Pacific Ocean, is believed to have formed towards the latter part of 2013.
