Shimla, Feb 27 (ANI): The two-day ‘Basant Festival’ began in Shimla. Indian classical musician Kamla Shankar mesmerised the audience on the opening day in Gaiety Theatre in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Shanker said organising such events gives a chance to interact with the students and help them with their queries of music. She also appreciated Kala Sanskriti of Himachal Pradesh for organising this programme and advertising traditional music in school and college students. The language art and Culture department of Northern Himachal government organized this 2 days festival with classical music. This year the programs were on folk music in which the artists of two most famous musical genre of India had been invited.
