Haryana govt. forms three-member committee to probe Murthal rape incident

Chandigarh, Feb 26 (ANI): In wake of the Punjab and Haryana High Court's observation on the reported gang-rapes of at least ten women in Murthal, the Khattar Government on Friday ordered formation of a three member committee to probe the matter. Additional Home Chief Secretary PK Das on Friday said they have no information on the reported molestation case on the NH-1 at Murthal, but they had formed a committee to investigate the allegations. He said that their officers went to inquire but they did not get any information. Das added that the victims should approach them so that they could investigate. The victims should call the Legal Services Authority’s helpline to report molestation.
