An aid worker helps a child abandoned and accused of witchcraft in Nigeria.

Anja Ringgren Lovén, a young Danish woman, working in the humanitarian. It helps African children through the prism of health development and education. In the city of Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and she found a neat little 2 year old boy. This child, she named Hope, was abandoned by his parents because they accused of witchcraft. Completely starving and banned from the community, he survived by eating food scraps.

Anja has found a foundation that deals with this kind of problem, because unfortunately this is not an isolated case. In Nigeria, many children are labeled as witches, explaining the plight of parents. They then find themselves abandoned and ostracized from the community.
