Chandigarh, Feb 20 (ANI): Prominent singer and former vice-president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Hans Raj Hans on Saturday joined the Congress Party in the presence of Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh in Chandigarh. Hans had been a part of SAD for seven years before he resigned from the post in 2014. Sources close to Hans have revealed that the singer left the SAD as he felt sidelined by the party high command. Capt Amarinder Singh welcomed Hans Raj Hans into the Congress fold and assured him full respect in the party. Congress MLA Kewal Singh Dhillon and Sadhu Singh Dharamsot were also present. Captain Amarinder Singh said that today they have gathered together to welcome Hans Raj Hans in the party.
