The Democratic presidential candidate met with the Rev Al Sharpton, a leading figure in the black community, in New York on Tuesday to discuss civil rights and race issues throughout the country, in the hope of earning his endorsement for president. Sharpton met with Clinton’s rival Bernie Sanders after his win in the New Hampshire primary, but has yet to officially throw his support behind either candidate.
