Twelve puppies are recovering at a shelter in Tucson, Arizona after being discovered left for dead in a remote part of the desert. The Humane Society of Southern Arizona says the dogs, ranging in age from eight weeks to four months, were malnourished and dirty. But since being discovered by a hiker near Bisbee, they’ve been well cared for at the shelter. And the phones have been ringing off the hook, with callers eager to adopt the friendly pups.
