Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says his team prepared the whole week for the match on Saturday but could not cope with Sunderland’s aggression. Van Gaal described the 2-1 defeat against Sunderland as a ‘frustrating’ day for the club and, in a separate statement, suggested Manchester United are unlikely to secure a top-four finish.
