Lyon hit the ball low and hard to Anderson's left and the Kiwi left-hander swooped low with lightening reflexes to pull off the one handed catch.
New Zealand Herald columnist Chris Rattue described the catch as 'better than Trent Boult's from the first innings.'
"Get yourself to a TV to see this one, the ball was hit back straight and low. Amazing catch. Absolutely amazing," Rattue said.
The Herald's senior cricket reporter Andrew Alderson agreed.
"Tough choice. I'm going to say Anderson's was better though because of the lurch off balance and the somersault to finish.
"We are treated to some cracking athleticism in the field these days. No more stick-the-foot-out-running- around-the-boundary-rope."
